The permanent auto raja is late Shanker Nag. Even after his 20 years of demise he is still lingering in the memory. Now the 1980 Shanker Nag acted Kannada cinema ‘AUTO RAJA’ title is repeated and right selection of artists in lead role who are not married would fetch the lucky person a site from San City in Bylakuppe.

The 1980 ‘Auto Raja’ was made by Sapthaswara Movie Makers (Saligrama) producers C Jayaram, SV Srikanth, Srimathi Jayamma, Kumari Rajeshwari in the direction of Vijay. Shanker Nag was in the lead with Gayathri (present wife of Ananthnag), Dwarakish, Balakrishna, Ashwath, Toogudeepa Srinivas, Sundarakrishna Urs, Prabhakar, Musuri Krishnamurthy, Hanumanthachar, Leelavathi, Adhavani Lakshmi Devi, Pappamma, Nigro Johny and comedian Guggu were part of the cast.

He recalled the day destiny snatched Shanker Nag near four kilometers of his home town Baramasagara. Udayaprakash was working in petrol bunk went in a motorbike with his friend to the spot and found twenty thousand people at the accident spot that snatched Shanker Nag who was traveling in the Contessa car. From that I was closely watching the films and contribution of Shanker Nag. It is my five years dream to take up a film in memory of Shanker Nag says Udayaprakash.

We have registered the title ‘Auto Raja’ but not taking the contents. It is all fresh says Udayaprakash who is starting the shooting from January next.

The selection of suitable hero for ‘Auto Raja’ is the issue before him. Unmarried Kannada hero who is young is his choice. He has left for selection to people of Karnataka and announced a residential site at Bylakuppe for the lucky winner. All he has to do is that select the name from the existing heroes.

We are not comparing the 1980 Shanker Nag of Auto Raja to that of 2012 ‘Auto Raja’ says Vishwa who heads the San City company. We thought different in various projects and this is just another one and gimmick is not our idea. We have given 150 sites to the buyers of HCL computers.
